Inspiration

Wheew. As you may have been able to tell, its been one of those weeks. Its A-level practicals time, which means lots of costumes and set work, morning noon and night as well as weekends. Most evenings I've just been zombified! Only another 2 weeks at this pace until they are all done, and then I'll be on Easter holidays, yippeee!
chambray and curls inspiration quote ideas come from everything Anyway, whilst I coudln't quite muster up the brain power for a post during the week, I have been generally mulling over something. People who aren't bloggers often don't really 'get' blogs. Why is it that this world of blogging, which can be oh so competitive, pressured and frankly, a fair bit narcissistic, is so enthralling? And, for me, the answer is inspiration. I just love to read other people's blogs and see their pictures, their ideas, their experiences. It can make me think a little differently, have a go at learning something new, find new brands and ideas or just make me generally feel happy to see something beautiful. Its nice to have places to dip into in order to stir up a little creativity. So, what is inspiring me at the moment?
I am generally loving the sleek, clean vibes of Camilla from Into the Fold. Her styling is way, way too slick for any 16 year old! No fair. I am watching and learning :)
The decorating ideas on A Beautiful Mess are just gorgeous at the moment. I wish I had flat walls in our place to have a go at this on. For now I might just make a big canvas in the same style.
Kate from Ghostparties just does the most beautiful make up. I've been watching her you tube videos and lusting after her perfect foundation blending skills! Plus, she's just such a beauty.
The Glitter Guide's '5 things to Try This Weekend' feature is always a source of fun inspiration each week. I love flicking back through them for something to try out, whether it be a new recipe, a hair & make-up tutorial, a great styling idea or just a gentle reminder of the good things in life.
This post by B at A Girl, A Style was pretty much just what I needed this week, and should pretty much make up my life rules.
Plus, week by week I am always getting inspired by random ideas and images on Pinterest and Tumblr. They are my happy place :)

Do you find blogs to be your main source of inspiration? I hope this might have given you a few new places to browse and enjoy on this cold gloomy Sunday night. Have a really lovely start to the new week

  1. I agree! Though sometimes blogs I read seem a bit too sugar coated or thumping-you-over-the-head competitive, it's really the inspiration that keeps me coming back. So addicting!

  2. I do get inspired by blogs but I try to get off the internet to draw it from elsewhere, too. I am obsessed with Glitter Guide now thanks to you.. it's equal parts amazing and upsetting, because of all the beautiful LA homes featured. I want a pastel house in Bel Air too! *stamps foot*

BTW, I'm pretty sure your hair would hold up well for a little bit of blonding.. ;)
