winter weekends

Cold weather= layers!)

As a student, the weekend lost its magic. The routine of my days were pretty much all the same, weekend or not. But now, weekends are full of opportunities, the moment to do something different from the rest of the days of the week! This weekend was extra special because my sister came to visit from Newcastle. I haven't seen her since October and gosh does Newcastle feel a long way away at times! Between having her around, eating lots of lovely meals, and the snow, it has felt like a holiday over the last few days. We bundled up and went for walks, sat in front of the fire, and watched films together. Pretty much blissful and just how I wanted to spend it! Now that I've taken my sister back to the airport and the snow is turning to slush and ice, I've definitely got the post holiday winter blues. To chase them away, I'm going to look at the photos of our weekend and start planning what to do in just 4 days time. I guess that's what's so nice about weekends- they happen every week!     1. hahah I felt SO impractical compared to the many hiking boot/thermals/waterproof folks around! Although, I was pretty toasty and my feet were dry so I would say it was a success! Thank you, it was lovely to see her :)

  2. Ahh you and Mr Curls look lovely together! I haven't got the January blues, I've got the life blues.. I want to be able to have lovely weekends like this. Darned retail.
